I love watermelon! It is a quintessential summer crop, and I never get tired of eating it. I usually have a big garden and watermelon is easy to grow. Plant your seeds, water once in a while, pick, and eat!
Amy Cuddy
CPSM, Director of Marketing + Communications
Wilmot Sanz
Incoming Chair
If it had to be a crop, it would either be peaches or sweet corn—my absolute summer fav. If it was something useful to my job, it would be rockstar marketing coordinators ready to learn!
Laura Okell
CPSM, Director, Marketing and Proposals
Axias, Inc.
Finance Director
I would grow herbs, except cilantro. I love to cook, and fresh herbs always make a difference. Herbs are easy to grow and small, so you'd get a bigger bang for your buck on cost of land! As finance director, my mind is always on the bottom line!

I AM a farmer! My favorite "crop" is the horses we keep, but we plant a garden too and potatoes are my favorite food crop. Why? French Fries!
Matt Hawk
Campaign Manager, Infrastructure

Sponsorship Co-Chair
I’d be a wheat farmer (a metaphor for content). It requires careful planning, planting, and nurturing. It can be grown in large quantities and harvested regularly. And requires timing and strategy to maximize yield and impact.
Heather Seich
Marketing Manager
Cooper Carry, Inc.
Sponsorship Co-Chair
I’d grow corn, rye, and oak trees. With these crops, I would distill my own bourbon with complete control over the ingredients from farm to bottle! With my oak barrel scraps, I’d make custom golf tees.
Helen Kashtan
Community Volunteer
Communications Co-Chair
I would grow tolerance and kindness, much needed in our divided world. Small kindnesses don’t go unnoticed and tend to grow among communities.
Amanda Seeds
Associate, Senior Pursuit Coordinator
JMT
Communications Co-Chair
As a backyard farmer, I would grow crops that could pop up whenever I craved or needed something. My garden would be less temperamental this way!
Hillary Nieukirk

Avocados, so I could have a private reserve of guacamole at all times.
Kate Petrovich

I would love to grow kumquats, because I love the word! They have a sweet, tart and tangy flavor, much like my personality!

I would raise dairy cows on our farm and produce fresh, local dairy products, including ice cream, yogurt, cheese curds, milk, and butter, all available for sale on-site and with local delivery.
Kristen Troxell
Marketing Manager
Benchmark Construction
Logistics Co-Chair
I would love to grow sunflowers. They always make me smile, and I enjoy using them as centerpieces on my kitchen table. I also cherish driving by the sunflower fields in Lancaster and picking them with my kids.
Katie Lund
Marketing Coordinator

Committee Role
If I were a farmer, I would grow wheat, tomatoes, basil, and other spices. I would collaborate with a dairy farmer for cheese. There you have it—pizza!
